105 single family homes sold in Westport during 2011 at an average sale price of $405,646 and median price of $300,000. For the same 12 month period in 2010, 87 single family homes sold with an average sales price of $377,718 and median price of $299,000.

2011 volume was up 21% compared to last year, while the average price was up 7.4% and the median price flat.

As of January 1 2012 there were 107 single family homes for sale in Westport, with a median asking price of $456,300, as compared to  January 1 a year ago when there were 103 homes with a median asking price of $475,900.

What does all this mean? Westport real estate experienced a good year in 2011! 2012  inventory is strong so there is still a great selection available, and with  lower asking prices and the current historically low interest rates, this an excellent time to be buying a single family home in Westport!
